Mark Twain Tower
Revitalizing Kansas City's Historic Landmark

Located in Kansas City’s Library District, the Mark Twain Tower is a 22-story building that originally opened in 1925 as the Kansas City Athletic Club.
The building retains its original architectural features, including a full-sized swimming pool, basketball court, racquetball courts, and a grand two-story ballroom. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, the tower is being redeveloped into a modern mixed-use property that will feature office, retail, and event spaces.
The project benefits from historic tax credits and a Chapter 353 Contract providing a 50% tax abatement on improvements through 2025.
